Some members of the IRSS lab are quite active during the week and at weekends. We organize regular hikes in the Coastal Mountains around Vancouver, and occasionally go for overnight hikes and day hikes outside the Coast Mountain area. Other lab members enjoying cycling and at least 5 members are members of the gym on campus. Lab members have also competed in running races and traiathlons. So here are a few photos of our non-work activities, although we always find time to discuss remote sensing during our trips, in fact our last hike found us on Cypress Mountain talking about the spectral properties of a snow-laden spruce.
